Ever wonder why a sudden noise makes your whole body go full exorcism? That’s fear — not just in your mind, but vibrating through your entire system. When your nervous system detects a threat (real or your cat knocking something over at 3 AM), your body launches into survival mode: heart racing, breath shallowing, muscles tightening. You might feel a heavy chest, buzzing limbs, a frozen gut, or a sense of leaving your body altogether. That’s your life force going, “We don’t feel safe here.” If that energy isn’t moved — by shaking, dancing, breathwork, crying, screaming into a pillow, or lying on the floor listening to whale sounds (although whales can also be scary) — it gets stored in the body like emotional clutter. Fear is just a message asking to be heard, felt, and released. My preference to release fear would be with burning sage, a salt bath, and some soft spa music.
