Men’s Counselling in Calgary
Feelings can sometimes feel like foreign territory to many men. Seeing as it is common for men not to be taught to understand how they feel or why, this is pretty understandable. In general, talking about the way we feel is often really uncomfortable. This can make the idea of therapy pretty unattractive.
Unfortunately, none of this means that men don’t have struggles. Anger, depression, worry, relationship problems, and loneliness may be influencing the lives of men in ways they don’t like, but without tools to deal with those feelings, men suffer. What’s worse, because of shame or fear of judgment, men often suffer alone and in silence.
The good news is that making the choice to talk can be the first step towards a change for the better. No need to make a long term commitment, just come in for a session and see how it feels. Our counsellors are here to meet you where you’re at and listen.
