Support Tiers

At Simply Counselling, one of our fundamental values is accessibility to the support you need.

We meet this value by:

  • providing many opportunities to see a counsellor, both in-person and virtually
  • ensuring we have a diverse team with knowledge across a variety of specialty areas, and,
  • offering options to support individuals who either do not have health insurance coverage, or are currently experiencing financial restraints.

We believe that finances should not be a barrier to accessing the support you need.

The following are some options for individuals to consider as cost-effective solutions.

Option #1 – Individual, Couples or Family Counselling with a Practicum Student

Experience all of the benefits of traditional counselling services, at a reduced rate. The Practicum Student is actively pursuing their Master’s level education on the journey of becoming a Registered Psychologist. This student is supervised by a Registered Psychologist and comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience. While the cost cannot be claimed on insurance benefits, it is lower than the rate for a Registered Psychologist. This student is available evenings and weekends.

Option #2 – Simply Support Sessions

Simply Support Sessions are an opportunity to receive support from a Registered Professional Therapist at a more cost-effective rate. The time commitment is short (2 sessions that are 2 hours long each, for a total commitment of 4 hours). Also, the sessions are available on evenings and weekends, as well as either in-person or online, to best meet your schedule and needs. The best part: you will leave the sessions with practical strategies, interventions, tools, and abilities, that can be easily integrated into your everyday life – right away!
